oh jeeze...

So, my arm is still really bruised and everything, but it was starting to feel better, but today I got a call from the doctor I saw on Monday after the fall, who said that they had sent my x-rays to radiology and they think I might have a hairline fracture...so Friday I have to go back in for more x-rays. So fun.

Anyway, it was Ashlees birthday yesterday, so we went over to her house for cake and ice cream which was fun :) Brikayla and Isaac got to play with each other, and had fun chasing the dogs around! Ashlee got a microwave from my parents...more a gift for her and my brother when they're married..which is now less than three months away! It's gonna fly by!

December is coming to an end...

So Friday the 26th, Amanda and Blake came over and we watched 88 minutes, which is a really good movie! On Saturday, we went over to Colton and Tiffanys house to watch the UFC fights, unfortunately pretty much everyone i wanted to win, lost :( ...its ok i still love you Forrest Griffin! lol. Sunday was my brothers Homecoming, which was really great! I was glad to see how much support my brother had! Sunday night my family came over and watched a movie at our house, which was really fun! My week started out not so great though, yesterday (Monday) when i was getting out of my truck at work, I slipped on ice and hurt my arm and back pretty good. I went to the Doctor, and they x-rayed my arm, no breaks, just really bruised and I had to get a tetanus shot. My arm is dying from that as well :( - then, today I found out that my Grandma passed away. we knew it was coming, I am just so sad. I am going to miss her soo much! She always had a smile on her face and brought joy to everyone. On the bright side though, I'm just glad that she isn't suffering anymore, and now she gets to be with my grandpa. She will just really be missed by everyone that knew her. I love you grandma

Christmas

So last Tuesday, the 23rd, we had Christmas with Jays parents. It was a lot of fun. They gave us money to go toward our tv, and also gave us a bunch of movies and stuff. They got Brikayla a princess shoe collection, and a big lion, and a bunch of other little things. Brikayla loves the lion and the shoes!

Chrismas Eve its a tradition to go to my parents house and we open our pj's and watch a christmas movie. This year we watched Fred Claus, which was really good! We all had a lot of fun opening gifts and we were all happy to have my brother home this Christmas! Brikayla got a curious george doll, some clothes and a cool vacuum set from my parents!

On Christmas Day, we opened our stockings first and then gifts from Santa - Jay and I got a big screen tv plus about 40 dvds, i also got a new cricut cartridge. Brikayla got a bike, a bunch of blocks, a lot of clothes and a dora backpack!

Sunday night we had a Christmas party with my moms side of the family. They are always soo crazy with all the 24 grandkids and one great grand kid (brikayla) but they are soo much fun!! Its my favorite thing to get to see all my cousins and everything!Brikayla got a set of twin baby dolls, which she absolutely loves!

Sunday also turned up with some unhappy news though, my great grandma is in the hospital, she is a breast cancer survivor, but now has bone marrow cancer, she went in for kemo on Wednesday, and it made her really sick. (Her birthday is actually today - she's 90) they didnt think she was going to make it through the night Saturday, but she did and seems to be doing a little bit better. So, the news did get a little better, but i guess its just bitter sweet, i dont want to lose her, but she really wants to be with my great grandpa.

The Secret is finally out!!

So my brother is finally home from his mission!!! We have been telling everyone he was coming home on the 24 of December because that was the original plan, but then it got moved to the 20th, and he decided he wanted to surprise his girlfriend, Ashlee! So he got home Saturday morning about 11:40 is when his plane arrived, it was so exciting to see him. He had never met Brikayla before because she was born two months after he had left. She knew who Braden was because we had been showing her pictures of him and its so cute how she says his name too. But right away she knew who he was, and it was so cute after he got his luggage and everything, Brikayla went on the little part of the ground that moves by itself and was running, she got pretty far ahead and then turned around and was like "come on, Braden." So anyway, after we left the airport we went to eat at Iggys, then went to see my brother, Cristian, and his band play in their first show at Kilby Court. They did really well! My brother plays the bass. So after all this we went home for a couple hours, my brothers best friend, Brendan came over with his girlfriend Lateisha. Brendan was soo excited for his best friend to finally be home! Well, after my brother was released, we headed downtown for temple square. We went into the North building where the statue of Christ is, and my brother waited in there amongst the crowd for Ashlee and her family to come up the ramp. Ashlee was looking at the Statue and my brother came up behind her. After she saw him, they couldn't stop hugging each other. It was soo cute and I'm so happy they're finally together again.......wedding planning time now! Well, I guess he has to hurry and go get the ring and ask her quick, but they'll be getting married within a few months!!!

Its been a long time

Well, its been awhile since I've posted, I've been pretty busy. Last Thursday, Dec 11 my little sister got her tonsils and adnoids out. I was able to get off work early to be there with her and my mom. I feel so bad for her, being a teenager and going through something like that I'm sure is not fun, and now she is in soo much pain. It's so sad! Thursday night Jays parents took us out to Tepanyaki which was so delicious. It was mine and Jays first time there and it was really fun. Brikayla loved it as well! When they made the big fire she was like "Oh my gosh!" and I had never heard her say that before so it was hilarious. Speaking of new things she says, her new word instead of saying 'beautiful' she says 'cuteiful' it is soo cute! She goes around telling everyone that they are cuteiful. Friday we had a Christmas party at our house with Jays friends which turned out really great. We all had a good time, and it was fun for all the kids to play together. Saturday night we went to our friend Brendans birthday party which was a lot of fun. I got to see my brothers girlfriend who I hadn't seen in awhile so that was great! I am getting so excited for my brother to come home from his mission. He is going to love Brikayla!

Zoo Lights!

So we went to Zoo Lights last night with Pam and Kaden and it was soo much fun! There were a lot more lights than I though there would be, Brikayla and Kaden had a blast. They were hanging out in the wagon, sometimes they would fight with each other because Brikayla would step on Kadens toes or something but they would be over it in two seconds. They both of course loved the monkeys! They both loved riding the carousel too. I definately recommend zoo lights to anyone with kids, or even just to go for a night out. The lights are really great!!

Today we went up to Roy for my cousins baptism and then went to Golden Corral afterward. It was fun to spend time with family. Brikayla had a blast at Golden Corral. She ate so much, she had white tights on and by the time we left, they were brown from her chocolate ice cream. It was funny.

So Market Street Grill was soo good! We had New York Steak which was so delicous! Plus for dessert a piece of chocolate cake that was so huge i only ate like a quarter of it. It was really good. I would definately recommend it! They had a raffle and Jay ended up winning a shop vac type thing for your car. Which is pretty cool. We had a nice time. Its not very often we get to go out to a real nice restauraunt and just enjoy each others company, just the two of us. :)

Ballet West

So last night I went with my mom to Ballet Wests Nutcracker and it was soo great. The scenery was so pretty and it just had a little of everything. My favorite part was with the big giant dress that the 8 little girls came running out from under and then danced. They were so cute! My mom and I really had a great time. While we were waiting for the ballet to start my mom actually got a call from my brother who is on a mission! She was not even going to answer the call, because she didnt recognize the number, but when the same number called again, she figured she should answer. She was definately glad that she did! Its very rare to get to talk to him. She only got to talk to him for a few minutes because the ballet was starting, but it was good to hear his voice and everything, we are just so excited that he comes home at the end of this month!! I can't wait for him to meet Brikayla. Jay and I are going to his work Christmas party tonight at Market Street Grill, I've never been there, so I am pretty excited, I have heard its very good. So I guess I'll have to update everyone on how it was!

First Post

So today is my first blog post. How exciting. Everyone keeps telling me I need to create a blog, and I finally decided it was time. Brikayla is growing up so fast, and it's fun to keep everyone posted. Bummer news is that today I am getting sick! I woke up with a sore throat and as the day went on I'm getting all stuffed up but at the same time have a runny nose. No fun at all. Especially when I work somewhere where I'm on the phone all day long. But I will survive... anyway Brikayla is growing up so quickly its just crazy, even just in the last week or so she is talking so much more, and knows what so many more things are. One of the cutest things is if she hurts you on accident or anything and you say ow, she says "sorry mommy" or "sorry daddy" or what not. It's too cute!
