Brikayla Jae

Brikayla is 2 years 10 months 3 weeks and 5 days old today! She will be 3 February 2. I really can't believe my little girl is going to be 3 soon! I wanted to have a post about my mischievous little girl!! She is seriously the most outgoing child I have ever seen...and if you know her, you'd agree. She NEVER stops! Even in her sleep she is moving all over and we'll find her in her closet, by her toybox, half on her bed etc. She never keeps her covers on either so we have a heater in her room and keep her in warm jammies. She sleeps for at least 10 hours at night and has since she was two months old! Along with never holding still goes getting into things...in the last few months she has smeared poop on her walls, got super glue on our chair, colored several walls with permanent marker, spread toothpaste all over my parents bathroom twice, poured syrup on the couch and just last night, colored on our tan chair and the wall...so I'm sure you're saying "then why don't you put things away?" but thats not it at all - she's also the smartest little girl I know...she will find things no matter where you put them away, like the syrup, she moved the kitchen chair over to the cupboard and got it out..and that was in a matter of two minutes while I changed Rylee's diaper! She's a quick little girl! I look back at these things and laugh now though, wish I would have taken pictures of each event. Brikayla has no desire at all to potty train, she will tell you when she's doing her thing in her diaper, so we know she knows what she's doing, she just refuses to go on her big girl potty...no treats or bribes work at all lol. The thing that makes it worse is that she is sooo smart...she has been talking in sentences for months and months, she knows all her colors, counts to 18 knows the alphabet, loves to make every animal sound you can think of. She's an incredible little girl :) She loves to say things are "amazing", lately she will say things like "wow mom, these shoes are really important" a lot of things she calls important. She gives the best hugs and kisses. It's a great feeling when she tells us she loves us. She's a tough little girl, and doesn't realize how rough she is..she always beats up all our friends boys - sorry guys! Her favorite shows are Dora and Sponge Bob. Some of her favorite movies are Toy Story, Jungle Book, Aladdin and Little Mermaid. She loves to play outside on her swingset and loves camping. She's definately not a girly girl when it comes to getting dirty! But she still loves princesses, shoes and jewelry! She loves music and loves to sing songs! Some of her favorites are "5 little monkeys", "The Wheels on the Bus" and a ton more!

Her hair is getting so long, it has natural curl! We've never cut it except for her bangs.

She has beautiful ice blue eyes and she loves wearing earrings!

She loves playing with her baby doll, Sally. She is going to be a great mom one day

She LOVES macaroni and cheese, another one of her favorites is spaghetti and meatballs. Her favorite drinks are apple juice and chocolate milk

She loves reading books, its one of her favorite things...she acts like she's reading. She makes up stories about her sister and her grandparents etc..its cute!

She loves her daddy and rough housing with him! She loves to be thrown around, spun around etc!

She loves to wear sunglasses

She really loves pajamas - I think she wears EVERY pair she has at least twice a day - she loves dressing up. She has TONS of pj's - she got 7 new pairs just for Christmas!

She really likes animals - here she is with my parents dog Wicket

Brikayla absolutely loves her little sister. She is always asking to hold her, she puts her binky in her mouth, if Rylee cries, Brikayla asks if she'll be ok and if I'm in the other room and Rylee starts crying, I hear Brikayla say "I'll go get mom for you"...its so cute to see how much love they have for each other!

She loves to stick her feet under the loveseat when the heater comes on since there is a heater vent right under there :)

She loves her daddy!

She loves her mommy - this is her kissy face

She loves the four wheeler that she got for Christmas! She can't wait until we get to take it out camping with us!

She loves to fall asleep in random places, sometimes she's in such a deep sleep she won't even wake up when we bring her in from outside...she slept like this for two hours

She LOVED Christmas this year and every day until Christmas she talked about how Santa was going to bring her presents on Christmas and she didn't want to be on the naughty list like Swiper (from Dora the Explorer)...it was definately fun to see her excitement this year!!

Rylee Jayde

Rylee is 3 months 1 week and 6 days old today. She's growing so fast I wanted to take some time to talk a bit about her at this current stage! She loves kids! She will sit and watch them play forever and she smiles at them a lot. She has started to like looking both to the right and left now that we've been doing her stretches and going to physical therapy. She likes to look at the tv, especially if cartoons are on. Her eyes turn red when she gets upset, even if she isn't crying. She lights up when daddy comes home from work and follows him with her eyes where ever he goes. She sure loves him! She doesn't like her car seat unless we're in the car - she is a very good traveler, but the minute we get in the house she wants out of her car seat. She tries to roll over, but still only makes it from her back up onto her side, doesn't quite make it to her tummy yet. She is a fabulous sleeper...sleeps between 9 and 11 hours before she wakes up most of the time :)

She absolutely loves being on her changing table, it is her favorite place to be other than her families arms, she is so happy when she is on it and falls asleep there quite a bit

She loves holding onto anything she can get her hands on...including the bars on her changing table

She loves to be naked!! Completely opposite of her sister when she was a baby! She loves it when she has no clothes on, and when you do put her clothes on, she giggles when we put onesies and shirts over her head

She has a birthmark on the back of her head above her neck, kind of hard to see under her dark patch of hair

She also has a birthmark right above her bum. When we were at Primary Childrens when Rylee was 5 weeks old doing testing, we found out about it. Before they did her spinal tap the doctor pointed it out so we didn't think it was something that happened because of the ST :)

Rylee holding Brikayla's hand, its so precious

She adores her big sister. She lights up when she talks to her, and if she is in a mood where no one can get her to smile, Brikayla will start talking to her and she gets a big grin on her face!

She is a slobber machine...she is always drooling and soaking her clothes! We use so many more bibs for her than we did with Brikayla

She doesn't mind wearing headbands...at least not yet! I hope it doesn't change! She really loves her hands she loves to eat them, stare at them and grab mom and Brikaylas hair with them :)

Since her room is decorated in brown and pink circles, it kind of became her signature...she has 7 blankets, 2 onesies, 2 pairs of pants, 1 shirt, 2 sets of pj's, 1 bow and a bib all with pink and brown polka dots!

She loves her binky! Brikayla never liked it so that's another one of their opposites.

She loves to sit in her Bumbo chair...its like her own little recliner :)

She's an extremely happy baby! She doesn't cry very often, usually just when she's hungry and when she's poopy, but not all the time even then. She LOVES to smile!

She has gorgeous blue eyes just like her daddy and big sister!

What A Change A Few Days Can Make!

Wow over the last few days Rylee has changed soo much! It's crazy, she is basically a pro at sitting up in her bumbo...but that has been for like two weeks now, she holds her head up perfectly and everything, both our girls have been pretty strong in that way :). ...but anyway over the last few days Rylee smiles and talks a ton more than she has, she became a drool machine! She is drooling like crazy, within just a couple minutes she soaks her shirt unless I keep a bib on her...she also became AMAZED by her hands! She will sit there and just stare at them forever. Its great! She goes crosseyed staring at her little fist since it's so close to her face..man I LOVE watching my girls grow!!

Staring at her hands! I love it :)

Brikayla just LOVES Christmas time this year! I am so excited for Christmas this year because of it! She tells everyone that Santa says "Ho Ho Ho" and it is so cute how she says it! Her favorite song is Santa Claus is Coming to Town. She knows a lot of the words. It is so cute! Brikayla is getting a kitchen set for Christmas from her Grandma and Grandpa Sphar, so Santa is bringing her a whole bunch of fake food, a new set of dishes, a fake microwave and pots and pans! I am so excited to see her face when she opens all her gifts...I have a feeling her favorite thing is going to be a big stuffed Woody doll though - she LOVES toy story! Well, incase I don't get another blog post up before Christmas, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!!

What a day yesterday was...

The day started out pretty normal, feeding Rylee, getting breakfast for Brikayla, watching cartoons with Brikayla etc. Well, Brikayla and I were putting together a puzzle in the kitchen, and I needed to change Rylee, so I left Brikayla sitting there at the kitchen table, went into Rylee's room to change her diaper and I was only in there for about 2 or 3 minutes. Well when I walked out of Rylee's room and stepped into the hallway by the kitchen I stepped in something a little sticky. So I looked forward into the living room and there was Brikayla with an empty syrup bottle holding it upside down over the couch. (Which had been about half full). I went and put Rylee down and looked in the kitchen - she had pulled the kitchen chair over to the cupboard and got the syrup out of there. I sent Brikayla to her room and started cleaning it up, I actually wasn't even that mad...just amazed by how curious she is and how smart she is to be moving the chair over and looking through the cupboards. At first I scooped up what syrup I could and then scrubbed the couch, but when it dried it was a little crunchy so I just took off the cushion covers and threw them in the washer - now its as good as new.

Well, I really had thought that was enough mess making for the day, but she had other plans. So Jay had gotten home, he was out snowblowing our foot of snow and I had started dinner. Rylee was sleeping and Brikayla was in her room watching Thumbelina, I thought all was well. So once dinner was done, I went to get Brikayla to come to the table. When I opened her door all I could smell was a horrible poop smell. So I look down at her big lion she has and he's now all brown, as well as her wall and her bed and her pull up was off but then she had put her pants back on...I just started bawling. I had already had a stressful day and this was just added on top. So i put Brikayla in the tub while I cleaned/disinfected her room. Then I finished bathing her and finally got to warm up and eat my dinner...

I'm glad days like these don't happen every day but now I wish I would have taken pictures, because it would have been a funny thing to look back on! Well, when something like this happens again, I better remember the camera. I love my little girls so much and look forward to many more good days as well as days like these that only make me stronger and give me more patience :)

Family Pictures

We finally got our family pictures done today. We were planning to do it today because it wasn't supposed to snow, at least the last time I had looked at the weather but of course, it snowed. We decided to still go to Gardner Village anyway though. We just bundled the girls up in blankets then we would throw the blankets to my sister whenever my dad was ready to take the pictures. :) We only got a few, but they'll work! We'll do some more probably in the summer. By then Rylee will have changed a ton anyway.

Last night Jay and I went to his work Christmas party. It was pretty fun and the dinner was really good. They have been doing a food drive at his work and when they participate they got fake money which they got to use to bid on prizes. Jay got what he wanted which was a back massager/warmer that sits on a chair. lol. It's pretty nice. It was really nice to have a few hours out together!

It's been WAY too long!!!

Rylee Jayde 11/6/09

11/10

Brikayla and Rylee 11/29

Daddy and his girls 11/18

Brikayla Jae 11/23

I can't believe I have not even done a post yet since Rylee has been born! It gets pretty crazy with two little ones, especially when my two year old is like having three two year olds haha. You turn your back for five seconds and she's into something else, but she is getting so big it is amazing!! She is so smart and sweet. She has a really great imagination and picks up so many things from movies she watches. Her favorite movie right now is Tinker Bell, she has also had a lot of fun lately watching the classic Christmas movies like Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to town. She LOVES her little sister and is such a big helper. Whenever Rylee starts crying Brikayla always puts her binky in her mouth, or if I'm in the other room Brikayla will say to Rylee "I'll go get mom for you" then comes running to me saying "Rylee needs you mom, she's crying". It's so cute to see how much she loves her and I can already tell Rylee loves her just as much, she is always watching Brikayla, and loves when Brikayla talks to her :) Rylee is already 11 weeks old as of 12/1! I can't believe it! She's so big already. She is smiling all the time and she will carry on a "conversation" forever! She loves to talk! Her new favorite thing is sitting in the Snugli carrier my aunt Cara gave me. It is so nice and convenient to be able to do house work and carry her around at the same time and she just loves being able to look at everything I'm doing. I have a ton of pictures to post, so I'll post some now and more when I get a chance!
