Almost 13 Weeks!

So everything went great at my doctor appointment! I got to hear the heartbeat which was such relief! I really like my new doctor too. She is awesome! My due date is September 21. I'll be 13 weeks on Monday. My doctor said they would do the ultrasound at 18 weeks, but I know a girl who does ultrasounds and she said I could go into her in 3 weeks and she would tell me what I'm having! So hopefully we'll know in three weeks, if baby decides to cooperate. Brikayla is getting so big. She acts way older than her age. She tries to get other kids to do things with her. Like with Clayson, the other day she was like "Clayson, count with me" then she started counting and he would repeat each number she said. It's pretty funny.

Today my brother is getting married! I'm really excited for that. We're heading to the temple in about an hour and a half for that and then of course the reception and everything afterward. I'll try to remember to take pictures and get them posted.

We're going to Disney on Ice this weekend too! I'm excited for that. I know Brikayla is going to love it!

11.5 Weeks

So, I am 11 and a half weeks along now. :) I finally told my bosses yesterday that I'm pregnant. I had put if off for a little while, I was really nervous to tell them, especially after only working there for a month. Good news though, they were really great about it, just mostly really excited for me. Rebecca said she will work with my schedule when I have doctor appointments and things, so that is really nice to know! I've been feeling okay the last couple days, but for the week before, I think I had the flu, which wasn't any fun. I feel a lot better now though.
I really can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or girl. I want to figure out how we're going to be painting this baby's room, because Brikaylas turned out soo cute! I'm thinking Brown and Light greens, which could go for a boy or girl and we could accent with either pink or blue, depending. But really, I'm not sure.

Baby number 2

So, I know most the time you get big quicker with your second baby, but I seriously feel giant already. I'm only ten and a half weeks but I feel like I look like I'm 20 weeks. I haven't been very sick which is good. I'm just really tired all the time. Also, certain smells will make me feel sick. I have my first doctor appointment on March 12, so hopefully all goes well :)

I'm definately glad its the weekend. This week seemed really long, even though I had Monday off. Anyway, new funny things of course going on with Brikayla this week. The other day, I don't remember why, but for some reason i said "uno" and out of nowhere Brikayla was like "uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco" and I was blown away! Then later on she was counting to ocho. I guess she learned it from Dora. But its crazy. How many barely two year olds count to 13 in english and 8 in spanish? She's too smart!

Last night Jay and I got to go to the UCE fights at the Energy Solutions Arena. It was a lot of fun, the two guys we went to see, Camrann Pacheco and Steve Sharp, both won. It was a long night! 14 fights, which lasted from 7-12:30. It was a lot of fun. I got to hang out with my friend Lindsay also, because her husband is one of Camranns corner guys. So Lindsay sat with us. I love going to the fights they are so much fun! My sister watched Brikayla at our house while we were gone, Then just slept over. Well, some time during the night Brikayla got out of bed and went to go sleep on the chair next to the couch my sister was sleeping on. Thats where I found her this morning. It was pretty funny.




This morning I was bored and decided to straighten Brikaylas hair, I can't believe how long her hair is! We usually don't see it straight because she has so much natural curl, but it looks so cute! I can't believe how big she is gettng!!!

Its been way too long!

Well, since my last post, a lot has changed. I found a job, which I started on Feb. 2 - Brikaylas birthday. Its at Taylor Bean & Whitaker, which is a mortgage company. I will be doing customer service. :) So it feels great to be working again. The Wednesday before I started my job, Brikayla woke us up bawling at 2:30 am, so I ran into her room and she was gagging, I rushed her into the bathroom and she was throwing up. She had a fever of 102. I was soo worried! I gave her some tylenol, which she threw up, also gave her some juice which she threw up. It was so horrible to see her going through that. But, we were able to get her temp down to 99. Her and I watched Finding Nemo until 4:30 am, then I went and put her in her bed, and slept on her floor with her. She woke up at 6:30 though, throwing up again, with a big fever. Luckily, my mom had that day off, because it was the day i had my interview at TBW. So my mom came over while I went to do that, and while I was gone Brikayla actually ate a couple bites of yogurt, but when i got home, throw up again. Fever was back. I called her doctor and my mom and I took her in. Everything looked normal as far as her ears, lungs, throat was a little red. So he said they would do a strep test just to rule it out, turns out it came back positive. So he prescribed her amoxicillan. We went and picked it up and gave it to her. She went to bed about an hour later. So then she wakes up crying and saying owie, grabbing her foot, so I take off her pj's and she's covered in hives! She was allergic to the amoxicillan just like her dad :( so we had to get some benadryl to make them go away, then in the morning i called to get her prescription changed. Well, that was such a sad day!! I'm glad she was already doing better the next day. She's a trooper!

So, my job is going well. Still in training, but learning a lot! Pregnancy is going well, i havent been sick in the morning, but i get nauseas at night sometimes, which isnt fun, but it only lasts for like an hour, and i havent thrown up or anything. so thats good! I still havent had my first doctor appointment yet, now that we got our new insurance i'll be making an appointment asap! So of course i'll keep everyone posted.

Valentines Day was fun. Jays cousin Branden invited us to go with him and his wife to dinner. So we decided on Hard Rock Cafe. We got downtown and guess what? Its not there anymore! They closed down. We were so upset. That place was soo good! So, went to Iggys which was good, then we just went and bought some goodies, came to our house and watched movies. It was really fun!

its been a long time

So its been a really really long time.....its been a soo happy but soo sad few weeks for us. For the happiness, we found out on Jan 13 that i'm pregnant! :) So we are very excited about that. Looking forward to another little one. We haven't really told many people...until now :) I'm only about 5 weeks along though, so I'll probably be due in September.
The sad news, on the 19th, I lost my job which was so devastating and probably couldn't have come at a worse time, all I have to say is that I am so thankful for family and friends! The day I found out, my parents came over with soooo many groceries for us I just broke down crying. Jays parents filled our vehicles with gas and also bought us a ton more things we needed - the essentials. They have been so supportive lately and have been trying to help us any way they can, and I am so thankful for them. All of my friends have been really supportive in trying to let me know whenever they find out about any openings and everything. I still haven't had any success in finding a job yet - but its so hard, especially at this economic time. I just keep praying and hoping for the best.
Brikayla's birthday is a week from today. She'll be two! Already...wow time flies. She is so smart for her age too. I actually had a friend thinking she was turning three because of how much she's talking. She says so many things, and she is becoming little miss attitude also. She's gonna be two going on five or six. lol.

Oh last Friday, Brikayla got ahold of her wipes, and was ripping them to pieces, and next thing I know she was like "get it out mom" and i couldn't see anything, but then I noticed a little glimpse of white up her left nostril. She had shoved a piece of it so far up there I could barely see it. She was 'trying to get a boogie' but I freaked out, Jay grabbed the tweezers and was able to pull it out... I thought we were going to be making a trip to the ER. But luckily, we didn't have to and looking back on it now, it was pretty funny. Well, I guess thats it for now. Best Wishes

So the last few weeks have been a little crazy, so i haven't had time to update. New Years eve we hung out with friends over at Eli and Kristens house, which was a lot of fun! We had a blast playing wii and Brikayla had fun staying up until midnight. On the first of January, We went bowling with Blake and Amanda and then they came over to our house and we played bowling on the wii until 4:30 in the morning. It was really fun. I hadn't stayed up that late for such a long time! over the weekend we played in the snow with Brikayla. Which she absolutely loved! She would have stayed out there all day if we would have let her! We also hung out with friends Braydi and Brandt over the weekend - we played win lose or draw, which is a way fun drawing game on the tv! Monday the 5th Amanda finally had Gage! He is soo stinkin cute! Blake and Amanda were so excited for him to be here! We went and saw them in the hospital that night. Tuesday the 6th, we had Jays parents over for dinner which was great! On Friday we went and hung out with friends at Blakes house and then they ended up coming over to our house and hanging out. Saturday was Lateisha's birthday dinner. It was a lot of fun, we brought Brikayla with us and everyone had fun playing with her. Sunday was dinner at my parents, it was delicious lasagna and for dessert, we had brownies and ice cream, Brikayla got ahold of the chocolate syrup and squeezed a whole bunch into her bowl and then she was covered in chocolate syrup! it was soo funny, and while she was doing it she was saying "i'm so happy" it was really funny- i hadnt ever heard her say that, so it was even more funny
