Halloween 2011
First thing this Halloween was Trick or Treating at Jordan Landing. I didn't know what to expect, because we hadn't ever done it before, but the Walls invited us to go, so I decided I'd take the girls. Jay was still at work, so I was on my own. Luckily Josh helped with Rylee, who wanted to be carried or I wanted her to be carried because she was holding up the other kids. Anyway, it ended up being a lot of fun, most of the stores in Jordan Landing participated. We walked from the movie theatre all the way over to Carls Jr, who gave out small fries to the kids as their treat, then down by Old Navy and through the strip mall there and back toward the theatre. There were a lot of other stores that were doing it, but the smaller kids were done by this point. The kids had a lot of fun and I'd really like to do it again next year! One thing I need to remember for next year though is to let them use their pumpkin buckets instead of the backpack/bags they used this year. They had to open them every time and they were big and overwhelming.
All the kids - Landen, Logan, Lukus, Brikayla and Rylee
Jay got home from work just before we pulled into the driveway. We had a potty break and got jackets, and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Sphars. Every year we go to their house for pizza before we head out Trick or Treating. We headed out in their neighborhood so Grandma could show off the grandkids to some of her neighbors. The girls had a lot of fun, we met up with Pam, Phong, Manda and their kids for a few minutes.
Kinda blurry, but the only one I got Rylee Brikayla Kaden and Dylan
When we were done there we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Walkers for a little while. My Dad was out of town, so we just hung out with Grandma for a few minutes. We tried to T or T at a few houses in her circle, but Rylee hadn't had a nap and was not having it. She was done with the whole T or T thing. So we headed home. When we got home, the Walls called and said they were close to our house and made sure we were home. When they got to our house Brikayla and I went Trick or Treating with them. Brikayla LOVED trick or treating this year. It was soo fun to watch her! Especially having kids with her her own age that she could experience it with. She had so much fun! We went out for quite awhile, got home around 9. She got so much candy! Halloween is such a fun Holiday. Its definately one of our favorites. I'm excited for next year when Rylee will be a little more into it!

My Girls
Seems like I just did an update on my girls, but it seemed fitting to do another, its been a few months. Brikayla is going to be 5 in a little over 3 months - its crazy!! She loves dancing and is going to be starting dance class next month! I'm so excited for that and so is she, all she can talk about is needing to get dance outfits and shoes and is so excited to learn!
- she loves to sing and listen to music, one of her favorite songs right now is "moves like jagger" by maroon 5 although she sings "moves like dragon" :)
- she loves chocolate milk, she would drink a whole gallon a day if she could
- she is a picky eater like her dad, although at least lately she will actually try foods, then decide if she likes them rather than just saying she doesn't like anything.
-she loves to annoy her sister lately - she annoys rylee, so rylee cries which annoys me and its a vicious cycle. i'm not liking that stage at all. at least its not all day every day, they get along and like a lot of the same things most the time, and when they do its heaven - i could watch them play together all day!
- she is very excited for her birthday and can't wait to turn 15, i mean 5...lol she acts like a teenager already with her whining and all. she talks about turning 5 so much, she can't wait! she also asked me today when it was going to be 'the time when those little guys turn our milk green' (st patricks day - this year we turned the milk green and set out a few little green gifts for them from the leprechauns. she liked it a lot)
- she still makes friends wherever she goes and loves getting to know people. even at kohls there was another little girl playing in the toy section and she started talking to her right away, and the next time we went, she asked if i thought her friend would be there again.
- she loves halloween, the only part she hates is fog machines - we have two of them and she is not a fan at all.
- she loves to help me out - folding laundry (especially towels), making dinner, vacuuming and dishes
-she means the world to our family and we love her so much!
Rylee girl, as kayla calls her, is turning into a talking machine. Some of my recent favorite words are wya and fya (water and fire) which both sound the same :), cee-o - cereal *which she LOVES, shink - drink, skehton - skeleton, spartle - sparkle...which is what she calls her glittery shoes. she loves them!
- we have my brother and sister and my friend tiffani watch the girls sometimes and lately when there is a knock at the door rylee gets so excited and we'll start running to the door and going through the list - chessie? kishin? tiffie? aaam? (Chelsie, Cristian, Tiffani, Adam - who is tiffs boyfriend/cristians best friend) its so cute! sometimes she even gets mad if its just jay or i. lol.
- she loves halloween too and isnt scared of any of it, she loves it! she loves to push the buttons on all our halloween decorations, especially that skeleton picture frame that sticks out its tongue
- she loves to be outside, she loves to swing and slide
- BABIES are her number one right now. she got oodles of them for her birthday and she carries at least one around pretty much all day. she rocks them, pats them, feeds them, and the cutest today is when she was rocking it and singing "bye bye, bye bye baby" which is like a lullaby that Suzanne sang to her and to Brikayla when they were little.
- she loves to be wrapped up in blankets. and if you take it away, she freaks out! she won't go to bed or take a nap without at least two blankets on her bed. usually her comforter and one extra smaller blanket. plus she has to have her babies on there too, and sometimes toys, just depends on the day.
I love my girls so much and am having so much fun being a mom. Especially this time of year. I love fall and all the fun activities that come with it!! :)

State Fair
We went to the State Fair opening day with my parents. The girls had so much fun, the animals were definately their favorite. Rylee loved the cows and Brikayla loved the goats. Some of my pictures are from my phone because my camera died, so they aren't the best quality, but thats ok :) The girls rode the ponies and I was surprised with how great Rylee did! She went all by herself without someone walking by her. It was cute and she loved it! Brikayla was a pro and was having the time of her life!
The girls walking in with Grandpa :)
The donkey...this donkey bit Brikayla on her tummy. She was standing next to it and he bit her. It freaked her out so bad!
Jay and I :)
i thought Rylee's crying face in this pic was too funny :)

Rylee, in this picture she doesn't look too sure, but she really did love it!

Rylee loved the bunnies too. My sister ended up getting one, and named it Chester. Every time we go to my parents, thats the first thing Rylee wants to see now and she always wants to hold it. Its cute!
The girls loved seeing all the animals!

My littlest princess is getting big too quick! She's going to be two in two months from Friday! It's crazy to think! She is talking a lot more lately and its pretty much the cutest ever! She leaves out the middle of most her words. Daddy = Dah-E, Yucky = Yuh-E, Kayla = Kay-A. It's cute :) There are a ton of words she says, some of my favorites are cupcake, outside, yucky, sissy, please, thank you and Ry-E(Rylee). She takes after her sister as Little Miss Sassy. For awhile she would say no for everything, even if she meant yes, and now she will say no, then realize she means yes and get a cute little look on her face and say "yea". She loves to play outside, she's probably the most tan 22 month old i've seen. lol. She is lucky like sister to get mom and dads olive skin. She is a fish just like her sister and loves to be in the water.
Bath time is a favorite at our house. A few months ago she even climbed in sisters bath with her pj's on:
Rylee loves to play barbies with her sister. And come up with other creative ways to play:
Her favorite toys right now are her baby doll and stroller, crayons and paper and all her sisters shoes. she loves to wear Brikaylas shoes all the time:
Rylee loves her sister so much, although she loves to antagonize her. They have a lot of similarities, but a lot of things are different too. Brikayla took after Jay with a lot and Rylee after me. Mostly when it comes to eating, fruit especially. Brikayla and Jay like red apples, peaches, pears, pineapple. Rylee and I like strawberries, green apples, watermelon, kiwi, mandarin oranges. Brikayla loves cheese, Rylee doesn't really care for it. Rylee will eat any kind of meat, Brikayla only likes chicken and meatballs. They both love popsicles, spaghetti, water, and yogurt. Rylee copies everything Brikayla does. She follows her around constantly.
Rylee is looking more like Brikayla all the time.
This is Brikayla when she was around Rylees age now!
Rylee - side pic but you can see the similarities!
My girls - I sure do love them!
Rylee hasn't really been interested much in potty training, just for the past few weeks she says potty so i'll sit her up there and she thinks its the neatest thing ever. Friday she went twice while sitting on the potty. That didn't last long, which is ok with me, we just keep putting her up there every time she says potty. It'll come eventually :)
The last few weeks Rylee has been sleeping on her bunk bed! No more crib in this house :) Its fun for the girls to be sharing a room now, they love it!

Brikayla
Me and my Princess!
I figured it was more than overdue for an update on my girls. So we'll start with Brikayla. She is so much fun! She is Little Miss Sassy Pants. She is sooo curious and quick to learn new things.
A few months ago she chopped off all her hair and donated it, she was the one who said she wanted to donate it.
Before her haircut!
After her haircut!
She LOVES her little sister! It is so much fun to watch them together, they have their moments when they fight, but for the most part Brikayla is just so overprotective of her little sister. Right now Brikayla is learning to write letters. I started with teaching her the alphabet, she can write A-D, but I then decided to teach her her name first. So that is what we're working on right now. She loves kids. She will make friends everywhere she goes. We have even been just at the play area at Chick-fil-a and by the time we leave, she is hugging the other kids and not wanting to leave her new friends. She loves the outdoors! Camping is one of her favorite things.

Brikayla and her friend Lukus camping
She loves getting dirty, she loves riding the fourwheelers, she is a fish too, LOVES the water! Don't get me wrong, she's not all tomboy, she loves to dress up, she would wear a dress every day if i'd let her. She loves barbies and make up, every time i do my make up she asks if she can have some too, so i'll put on the lightest shade of eyeshadow to make her happy :) A few weeks ago, we went to my sisters dance recital and afterward she was telling Jay about it and when he asked what her favorite part was, she replied "the part when it was over" Jay and I cracked up, and whenever anyone laughs at something she said she always replies with "I'm just kidding" and comes up with what she thinks is a better answer. She loves having her picture taken, and will smile at any opportunity she gets in front of a camera.
She loved the fireworks this year!
Every day she asks if we can do them again. She loves playing games and doing puzzles. Her favorite color, for today at least, is purple. Her favorite songs are Barbie Girl, Single ladies and If I Die Young. After hearing Single Ladies at Brendan and Lateisha's wedding, she came up to me and said "Mom, I'm a Single Lady!" she cracks me up. It was too cute, on the 4th, my Dad had If I Die Young in his head, he out loud sang "If I die young" then Kayla finished it off with "Bury me in Satin, lay me down on a bed of roses. Sink me in the river at dawn, send me away with the words of a love song" my Dad was pretty amazed that she knew the words by heart and could sing them without the song playing. She is getting big so quick, it makes me sad but also excited for what the future has in store for her!!
Don't know why but I really love this picture, dirty face and all :)
